1. Voluntary Participation and Fitness
I voluntarily agree to participate in the 2nd National Level Surf Fishing Tournament 2026 at Bhatye Beach, Ratnagiri (“the Tournament”), organised by Ratnagiri Fishers Club. I confirm that my participation is entirely voluntary and that I am physically and mentally fit to participate. I understand that I am responsible for assessing my own fitness and health conditions before participating.
2. Acknowledgement and Acceptance of Risks
I understand that surf fishing involves inherent risks, including but not limited to strong waves, tides, currents, unpredictable weather, heavy rainfall, extreme heat, slippery surfaces, sharp hooks, fishing lines, rods, equipment, marine animals, and travel to and from the venue. These risks may result in personal injury, illness, disability or even death. I voluntarily accept these risks associated with my participation.
3. Release and Waiver of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I agree not to hold Ratnagiri Fishers Club, its office-bearers, members, volunteers, tournament committee, sponsors, partners, employees, agents or representatives (“the Released Parties”) liable for any injury, illness, death, loss or damage to personal belongings arising out of or connected with my participation in the Tournament, including claims arising from ordinary negligence, to the extent such claims may lawfully be waived.
Nothing in this declaration shall exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

5. Personal Belongings and Insurance
I understand that Ratnagiri Fishers Club is not responsible for the loss, theft or damage of my personal belongings, fishing equipment or valuables. I acknowledge that arranging personal accident, medical or travel insurance is my own responsibility.
6. Emergency Medical Assistance
In case of an accident, injury or medical emergency, I authorise Ratnagiri Fishers Club and its authorised representatives to arrange reasonable first aid or emergency medical assistance. I understand that any medical treatment, transportation or hospitalisation expenses shall be my responsibility, subject to applicable law.
7. Guests and Minors
I accept responsibility for the conduct and safety of any accompanying guest (+1) registered under my participation, to the extent of my control and responsibility.
Participants below 18 years of age must obtain written consent from their parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian must sign this declaration on behalf of the minor participant.
8. Photography, Videography and Media Consent
I hereby grant permission to Ratnagiri Fishers Club to use my photograph for the Tournament identity card and to capture photographs and videos of my participation during the event. I also permit Ratnagiri Fishers Club to use such photographs and videos for Tournament-related publicity, promotional activities, social media, reports and future event documentation without additional compensation.
9. Compliance, Disqualification and Decisions of Ratnagiri Fishers Club
I agree to comply with all Tournament rules, eligibility requirements, judging procedures and decisions of the Organising Committee of Ratnagiri Fishers Club. I understand that any violation of Tournament rules, misconduct, unsafe behaviour or failure to follow official instructions may result in warnings, penalties or disqualification, as determined by Ratnagiri Fishers Club.
10. Weather Conditions and Event Changes
I understand that surf fishing is a weather-dependent outdoor activity. Ratnagiri Fishers Club reserves the right to postpone, modify, suspend or cancel the Tournament due to adverse weather, rough sea conditions, safety concerns, government restrictions or other unforeseen circumstances. I agree to follow all safety-related instructions and decisions made by Ratnagiri Fishers Club.
11. Declaration and Acceptance
I confirm that I have carefully read and understood all the above terms and conditions. I acknowledge that I am participating voluntarily and accept the responsibilities and risks associated with the Tournament. I confirm that all information provided by me during registration is true and accurate.
